In this challenging scientific position, you will develop and validate highly sensitive mass spectrometric analytical methods and work on issues that have a direct influence on the development of innovative medicines and packaging systems. These are your tasks

• Development, optimization and validation of highly sensitive LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS methods for pharmaceutical products, process materials and packaging systems
• Identification, quantification and structure elucidation of organic trace compounds using modern mass spectrometric methods
• Planning, implementation and scientific evaluation of analytical development, investigation and cause analyses
• Evaluation of data quality, method performance and atypical results and derivation of appropriate follow-up measures
• Preparation of scientific reports and technical contributions for approval documentation and inquiries from authorities
• Scientific advice and close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams from development, quality and regulatory affairs
• GMP-compliant implementation, documentation and continuous further development of analytical procedures and processes

What sets you apart

• Successfully completed studies in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or a comparable discipline; doctorate is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in mass spectrometric ultra-trace analysis and quantitative method development in a regulated environment
• Sound knowledge of LC-MS/MS, ideally supplemented by practical experience with GC-MS/MS
• Experience in method validation, sample preparation, data interpretation and dealing with very low detection and determination limits
