Civic Engagement and Open Society University Network (OSUN) Coordination Assistant [f/m/x]
Intro
The Civic Engagement and Open Society University Network (OSUN) Coordination Assistant position at Bard College Berlin involves supporting the operation of the Civic Engagement Office and assisting with OSUN grants and projects. The role includes logistical support for events, communication with stakeholders, and contributing to civic engagement initiatives. The Assistant will work in Berlin and collaborate with BCB grantees, OSUN management, and accounting teams. The position requires fluency in English, B1 competency in German, and previous experience in civic or community engagement. Knowledge of liberal arts education principles and international education is a plus. This is a one-year, non-renewable position starting from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
Tasks
- Support the operation of the Civic Engagement Office
- Assist with OSUN grants and projects
- Communicate OSUN opportunities at BCB
- Offer logistical support for events
- Contribute to Civic Engagement programming
- Maintain communication with grantees and management teams
Requirements
- Completion of BA degree
- Fluency in English and at least B1 competency in German
- Previous experience in civic or community engagement
- Comfort with budgeting and use of spreadsheets
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- German work authorization
