Job Overview

Internationale Ergänzungsschule’ (International Supplementary School) and by the US accrediting agency Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED). ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme, and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

The English & EAL teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the core concepts within the realms of the English Language and Literature. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality delivery of teaching and learning experiences for both English native speakers and English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners in Grades 1–6
• Design and implement effective assessments that align with Cambridge standards.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and academic growth.
• Monitor and enhance student progress, welfare, and academic outcomes within the realm of English.
• Take a proactive role in implementing school policies, with a specific focus on safeguarding and promoting equal opportunities for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of the English curricula.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or related field
• Teaching experience in English
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the English curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• Experience of working in an international school is desired

The ISR Summer School offers students from Kindergarten (3 years old and above) to 8th grade the opportunity to participate in something unique and exciting! Our summer school students learn in a fun yet stimulating environment, with lots of games that improve their academic and language skills during the Summer holidays. All language levels are welcome.
