We invite applicants to undertake their PhD project at one of the six locations of the Helmholtz Centre for lnfection Research (HZI). HZI is Germany's largest academic institution dedicated to infection research and a member of the Helmholtz Association. lt has been at the forefront of the fight against infectious diseases for many years. Eligibility criteria:

Applicants should meet the following requirements: A Master's degree (or equivalent) in life sciences (or related) and an ambitious and innovative mindset, excellent scientific as well as written and oral communication skills in English, and a willingness to work in an intercultural team.

A funded PhD position under the German federal pay scale (equivalent E13 TVöD Bund, 65%), including health insurance, and 30 days of paid vacation, providing a secure income sufficient for living in Germany with full social benefits.
