a tip: tap e.V. is a non-profit organization, founded in 2010, that passionately advocates for the promotion of tap water and against the consumption of bottled water. Our goal is to promote an ecologically sustainable lifestyle and strengthen the consumption of tap water in society.

The main mission of a tip: tap is to increase appreciation for tap water while reducing plastic waste, CO₂ emissions, and costs. We believe in the quality and value of tap water and work to question the beautiful marketing of bottled water companies and highlight the actual benefits of tap water.

• Education: We offer interactive and hands-on educational programs for schools, daycare centers, and extracurricular learning locations to educate children and young people aged 4 to 19 about the quality and benefits of tap water. Our educational units cover topics such as natural sciences, art, economics, politics, and social issues[1][2][5].
• Consulting: We support companies and organizations in transitioning from bottled to tap water and provide consulting for public institutions[2][5].
• Actions and Campaigns: We conduct actions, lectures, and digital campaigns to inform the public about the benefits of tap water and to dispel uncertainties[2][5].
• Drinking Locations: We are committed to improving access to tap water by establishing drinking fountains in public spaces, schools, and workplaces, as well as setting up refill stations[2][5].

• Reduction of Plastic Waste and CO₂ Emissions: By switching to tap water, we aim to reduce plastic waste and the associated CO₂ emissions. An important aspect of this is avoiding transport routes and the production of plastic bottles from crude oil[2][5].
• Promotion of Sustainable Development: Our work is guided by the principles of education for sustainable development and the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We advocate for high quality and availability of tap water at the political level and are part of the global Blue Community movement[1][2].
