Abwasserverband Limburg

The Landesverband der Wasser- und Bodenverbände in Hessen is a corporation under public law that is committed to promoting water management, land cultivation and landscape conservation in the state of Hessen. The association is based in Griesheim near Darmstadt and covers the entire state of Hessen.

• Representation of Interests: The association represents the interests of its members, which are water and soil associations and public law corporations.
• Advice and Support: It offers advice on budgeting, accounting and financial reporting as well as on articles of association and provides assistance with internal and external association problems.
• Promotion of Water Management: The association promotes water management through measures such as drinking water procurement, wastewater disposal, watercourse maintenance and irrigation and drainage of land.

The mission of the Landesverband is to represent the common interests of its members and to promote water management in Hessen. It attaches great importance to the sustainable use of water resources and the management of water bodies to prevent floods and droughts.

The association is involved in projects for the renaturation of water bodies, such as the renaturation of the Weschnitz, in order to protect and preserve natural habitats. It also promotes initiatives for climate adaptation in rural areas, such as the Zukunftsforum "Land.Kann.Klima", which deals with challenges and approaches to climate protection.

The Landesverband der Wasser- und Bodenverbände in Hessen is a member of the Deutscher Bund der verbandlichen Wasserwirtschaft (DBVW), which represents the interests of water management at national and international level. This partnership strengthens the work of the association and promotes the common goals of sustainable water management.
