Agora Think Tanks develops scientifically sound and implementable policy proposals to advance climate neutrality in Germany, Europe and internationally. As a non-partisan, non-profit organization, funded by foundations and public institutions, Agora operates independently of corporate and political interests. The sole mission is to serve the climate and the common good.
With a team of around 180 employees in Berlin, Brussels, Bangkok and a partner office in Beijing, Agora Think Tanks develops feasible and scientifically sound policy proposals for the decarbonization of all economic sectors: energy, transport, buildings, industry and agriculture. Based on sound expertise, Agora advises decision-makers and promotes a productive exchange of ideas.
Since no single institution can cope with the complexity of the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies and climate neutrality, Agora maintains an intensive dialogue with actors from politics, civil society, business and science and is active in a global network of think tanks that promote the net-zero transition.
Agora Think Tanks includes various topic-specific areas, including:
In addition, Agora Think Tanks hosts the secretariat of the International Network of Energy Transition Think Tanks (INETTT), a global network that promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience between independent think tanks to accelerate the global transition to climate neutrality.
