Die Abfallwirtschaft Lahn-Fulda (ALF) is a future-oriented special purpose association that is committed to sustainable and efficient waste management in the districts of Schwalm-Eder and Marburg-Biedenkopf. As a corporation under public law, we take responsibility for the disposal of waste from private households and commercial enterprises in the 49 cities and municipalities of the two districts.
Our range of services covers the entire spectrum of modern waste management, from the collection and transport of waste to environmentally sound recycling and disposal. This also includes the aftercare of old landfills, the development of innovative waste management concepts, the creation of detailed waste statistics and comprehensive advice for our customers.
The ALF operates several disposal facilities, including the Entsorgungszentrum Schwalm-Eder (EZS) and the Entsorgungszentrum Marburg-Biedenkopf (EZM), as well as waste transfer stations and composting plants. These facilities enable us to efficiently process waste and recover recyclable materials.
Our mission is to protect the environment and conserve resources. We are actively committed to waste prevention and promote the reuse of recyclable materials. Our mission statement is shaped by the idea that waste is not only a problem, but also an opportunity.
An important part of our work is educating the public about proper waste separation and disposal. With our "Abfall HR" app and our Instagram account, we offer practical information and tips for everyday life.
The ALF is certified as a waste management company and attaches great importance to high quality standards and compliance with all relevant environmental regulations. We are constantly working to optimize our processes and use new technologies to make waste management even more sustainable.
Our goal is to work together with the citizens of the region to create a clean and livable future. We are convinced that responsible waste management makes an important contribution to protecting our environment and conserving our resources.
