The Amt Boizenburg-Land is a joint administration that has included eleven municipalities in the far southwest of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern since 1992. These municipalities are Bengerstorf, Besitz, Brahlstorf, Dersenow, Gresse, Greven, Neu Gülze, Nostorf, Schwanheide, Teldau and Tessin b. Boizenburg. The official seat is located in the city of Boizenburg/Elbe, which is not part of the Amt itself.
