The Anton Schrobenhauser-Stiftung kids to life is a non-profit organization that has been committed to disadvantaged, traumatized and socially disadvantaged children and young people in Munich and internationally for over 20 years. The focus of their work is a pedagogical center on 16,000 m², which is visited by over 5,000 young people every year and enables them to have a self-determined and joyful future through diverse projects and support programs.
The foundation's goal is to give children in homes and special life situations who have deficits in social, emotional or cognitive development, joy of life, perspectives and independent participation in social life. kids to life places particular emphasis on individual support that takes into account the children's strengths and weaknesses, and works closely with caregivers and partner institutions.
The offer includes a variety of pedagogical measures and experiential education such as animal care, cooking schools, creative workshops and radio courses as well as therapeutic offers that sustainably promote the well-being and development of the children. A special focus is on berufliche Integration: With the "Fit for Work" project, which has been in place since 2009, the foundation supports young people through tutoring, career guidance, application seminars and placement in internships and apprenticeships. In this way, they are gradually introduced to working life and strengthened for an independent life.
Sustainability is an integral part of the foundation's work. The projects are designed to achieve long-term, sustainable positive effects on the life situation of children and young people. Values such as inclusion, equality and participation regardless of skin color, origin or religion are actively lived at kids to life. A participatory approach motivates the children and young people to actively participate and contribute their own experiences.
The social commitment of many prominent ambassadors, including from sports, underlines the broad support and credibility of the foundation. Through diverse national and international projects, kids to life makes a significant contribution to creating opportunities for disadvantaged children and offering them a perspective to live, play, learn and grow.
