The ASB Kreisverband Witten e.V. is a non-profit aid organization firmly rooted in Witten and the Ennepe-Ruhr district for over 100 years, committed to the tradition of helping and social responsibility. As a strong regional player, the ASB offers a wide range of services in the social, medical and rescue service sectors. These include the ambulance service, first aid service, home emergency call and mobile emergency call, outpatient and inpatient care, first aid courses, a midwifery center and social services such as household and refugee assistance. In addition, the association is involved in voluntary activities - for example in civil protection, with rescue and visiting dog teams as well as integration projects and the Wünschewagen, which fulfills the last wishes of terminally ill people.
The mission of ASB Witten is to provide comprehensive support to people in emergency situations and to offer life-saving and nursing care, while preserving the dignity of the individual and promoting community. Shaped by the industrial history of the region and the values of the labor movement, the association stands for solidarity, commitment and human closeness.
