The Arbeiterwohlfahrt Kreisverband Spandau e.V. is a non-profit organization for youth welfare and social work in the Berlin district of Spandau. With around 270 employees and about 800 members and numerous volunteers, the association is one of the larger employers in the region.
The Arbeiterwohlfahrt Spandau represents the basic values of the AWO: Freedom, Justice, Tolerance and Solidarity. It works independently of political parties and strives to support disadvantaged people. The mission of the association is to promote a socially just society and to help people in need.
The association is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, which underlines its efforts for continuous quality assurance and improvement. Flexible working time models enable a good balance between work and family life, which contributes to employee satisfaction. In addition, the association attaches great importance to the continuous training of its employees in order to keep their professional skills up to date.
The AWO Spandau offers opportunities for voluntary work and promotes a culture of social responsibility. Through its membership in the AWO Landesverband Berlin and in the Arbeitgeberverband der AWO Deutschland e.V., it is part of a larger network of social organizations.
