Ärzte der Welt

Ärzte der Welt is an international aid organization that advocates for the health and human rights of disadvantaged populations worldwide. Our work focuses primarily on children and women in need, people without access to healthcare, and refugees. In Germany, we additionally provide medical care and counseling for individuals without health insurance[3].

Our mission is based on the principle that health is a human right. We advocate solidarity for the needs and legal claims of the people we support. Our values include:

• Commitment: As a global movement of dedicated experts, we advocate for solidarity and do not shy away from political confrontation to publicly denounce human rights violations.
• Independence: Our organization is independent of political, religious, military, and financial interests, which gives us the freedom to choose our programs and methods autonomously[1].
