The Workers' Welfare Association (AWO Hessen-Süd) is a non-partisan and non-denominational association of free welfare services. It is committed to helping people of all generations and is represented in Southern Hesse with over 100 facilities.

• Care and Senior Work: AWO offers comprehensive care services in modern facilities such as the Marie-Juchacz-Haus in Erzhausen. Here, elderly people receive loving and competent care[4].
• Child and Youth Welfare: AWO promotes the personal development of children and adolescents through various offerings and intensive contact with parents[5].
• Training and Volunteer Services: In addition to training positions in care, AWO offers Voluntary Social Years (FSJ) and Federal Volunteer Services (BFD) that inspire and qualify young people for social professions[2].
• Integration and Language Courses: AWO supports people in integration through language courses and other educational offerings[1].

The main mission of AWO is to help those in need and disadvantaged people and to improve their living situation. Values such as solidarity, inclusion, and social justice are at the forefront[5].
