BELLIS e.V. has been supporting victims of sexualized and domestic violence in Saxony since 2019 with psychosocial counseling, medical emergency assistance, and training. The organization promotes victim protection and violence prevention through interdisciplinary collaboration and the establishment of a support network.
BELLIS e.V. was founded in 2019 with the aim of providing comprehensive support and counseling to victims of sexual and domestic violence. The organization was commissioned in the same year by the Free State of Saxony to carry out the model project "Medical Emergency Assistance after Rape and Domestic Violence." In the establishment and development of the project, BELLIS e.V. received significant support from sister projects in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin.

The City of Leipzig plans to further expand prevention work in the area of sexual violence. To this end, a working group consisting of municipal counseling centers and the city administration is to be established to develop initial concepts and expand counseling services. BELLIS e.V. plays a central role in this and emphasizes the need for more specialized counseling centers to better meet the demand in Leipzig and Saxony[5].
