The
The Bethanien Kinderdörfer have been providing a new home in a family-like atmosphere for disadvantaged children and adolescents who can no longer live with their biological families for various reasons for over 65 years. These facilities create the foundation for a healthy trust in life and promote the development of children and adolescents.
The main mission of the Bethanien Kinderdörfer is to provide children and adolescents with a safe and supportive environment in which they can grow and develop. The Christian faith plays an important role and serves as a source of strength in everyday life. The Dominican Sisters of Bethanien, the founders of the children's villages, live on the premises and contribute to the Christian-Catholic character.
The Bethanien Kinderdörfer place great importance on sustainable and long-term support. They offer training apartments and housing to prepare adolescents for independence. Additionally, they promote the development of children through special educational offers and a training academy for educators. These initiatives help children and adolescents to develop their skills and lead an independent life.
The Bethanien Kinderdörfer are represented in three locations: in North Rhine-Westphalia, also in North Rhine-Westphalia, and in Hesse. Each location offers a unique environment tailored to the needs of the children and adolescents.
