BIWOC RISING gUG (limited liability) is an innovative organization dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces for marginalized communities. Our main focus is on supporting BIWOC* (Black, Indigenous, Women of Color) and TIN*BIPoC (Trans, Inter, Non-binary, Black, Indigenous, People of Color) by providing an intersectional coworking space and a variety of empowerment programs.
Our mission is to promote social justice and create structures that enable financial independence and social participation. Inspired by Audre Lorde's statement that one cannot dismantle the master's house with the master's tools, we have created an alternative space driven not by capitalist motives but by social justice. We strive to challenge and change racist and discriminatory systems, particularly in the labor market.
BIWOC RISING is committed to sustainable communities by promoting structures that enable financial independence and social participation. We work closely with organizations and initiatives led by marginalized communities to set an example for social justice. Our goal is to effect long-term change through education and awareness and to initiate new discourses.
