The Brandenburgische Gesellschaft für Kultur und Geschichte gGmbH (BKG) is a central cultural umbrella brand and cultural and educational institution of the state of Brandenburg and the state capital Potsdam. Founded in 2003 as the House of Brandenburg-Prussian History, it was rebranded in 2014.
The BKG sees itself as part of civil society and provides a space for the active shaping of cultural self-understanding. Its mission includes the promotion of diversity, creativity, knowledge, openness, and cooperation. It works closely with partners from science, tourism, and education to initiate new topics and network cultural initiatives[1].
