Bundesausschuss politische Bildung

The Bundesausschuss Politische Bildung (bap) e.V. is an association of 30 nationwide organizations and institutions dedicated to extracurricular political education for youth and adults. Our goal is to promote this field of expertise and represent its interests.

• Networking and Professionalization: The bap e.V. serves as a cross-provider networking platform and advocates for the qualification and professionalization of political education work[2][4].
• Working Groups and Projects: We operate various working groups, such as "Promotion of Political Education by the Federal Agency for Civic Education", "Fundamental Questions of Political Education", and "Global Political Education". Additionally, we carry out various projects focused on strengthening democracy and promoting political participation[2][4].
• Publications and Events: We publish the "Journal for Political Education" and organize the "Federal Congress on Political Education" to promote professional discourse in the extracurricular education scene[2][4].

The main mission of the bap e.V. is to empower young people and adults to engage in democratic action and to promote international cooperation. We advocate for the strengthening of democracy and social cohesion, especially in times of crises and the rise of extremist forces. Our work is guided by the principles of political maturity, political self-determination, and the recognition of democratic fundamental rights and human rights standards[1][5].
