The main mission of the Bundesverband RIAS is to create a nationwide, uniform reporting system for antisemitic incidents, including those that fall below the threshold of criminality. The goal is to better illuminate the dark field of antisemitism to obtain a realistic picture of the development of antisemitism in Germany. The Bundesverband promotes the trust and willingness of Jewish and perceived Jewish individuals to utilize civil society reporting and support services.
The Bundesverband works closely with the Central Council of Jews in Germany, the state associations of Jewish communities, the Central Welfare Office of Jews in Germany, and other Jewish organizations. These cooperations are central to the recording and combating of antisemitism and the support of those affected.
Through its work, the Bundesverband RIAS significantly contributes to strengthening democratic civil society and combating antisemitism in Germany.
