Bürgerhilfe Sozialpsychiatrie Frankfurt am Main

Die Bürgerhilfe Sozialpsychiatrie Frankfurt am Main e.V. is an established organization that has been dedicated to the integration and participation of mentally ill people in society since 1970. As part of the Frankfurt community psychiatric network, the association makes an important contribution to the socio-psychiatric care of the city.

The range of services offered by Bürgerhilfe is diverse and includes:

• Psychosoziale Beratung: Support for people in difficult life situations, emotional crises or with mental illnesses, as well as for their relatives.
• Tagesgestaltung: Offers such as a day center, bakery and meeting place to structure everyday life and promote social contacts.
• Betreutes Wohnen: Outpatient help for people with mental illnesses in their own homes or in shared apartments to enable independent living.
• Wohnheim: A special form of housing for people who need more intensive care.
• Krisendienst: Telephone advice and assistance in psychosocial emergencies, especially outside the regular opening hours of other services.
• Zeitschrift "Treffpunkte": Publication of a specialist journal for community psychiatry in the Rhine-Main region.

Bürgerhilfe sees itself as an advocate for those affected and is committed to their rights and needs. People are at the heart of the work, with the aim of promoting mentally healthy living and supporting mentally ill people in developing a lasting perspective for an independent life in the community. The work is based on professionalism, personal responsibility, openness, authenticity and recognition of the individuality of each individual.

Bürgerhilfe operates in the south of Frankfurt and assumes the care obligation there as part of the community psychiatric network. It operates services and facilities for advice and support, participates in regional psychosocial care and provides public relations, advice and information.

The organization employs around 60 qualified employees who are committed to the needs of mentally ill people with dedication and expertise.
