The Caritas Schwarzwald-Baar is a regionally anchored social and welfare association in the Schwarzwald-Baar district, which supports people in different life situations with advice, care, support and social commitment.[8][10]
The focus is on helping people in need: Caritas offers, among other things, general social and life counseling as well as support for families, senior citizens, pregnant women, people with disabilities and people in stressful or crisis situations.[7][10] In addition, the association is involved in nursing training and in a variety of social services that professionally support people and relieve them in everyday life.[5][9]
An important example of the concrete work on site is the St. Jakobus-Haus, a residential home for people with mental illness. There, residents receive a safe home in the community as well as individual support and round-the-clock care.[2] This shows that Caritas SBK not only advises, but also provides reliable support and creates long-term support services.[2]
The of the organization are closely linked to the Caritas mission: characterize the work in all services and facilities.[4] Employees take responsibility as advisors, companions, caregivers and managers and contribute to effectively supporting people in difficult life situations.[4]
Also in the area of sustainability, Caritas SBK focuses primarily on social sustainability: through stable support systems, regional offers, qualification of specialists and the promotion of social participation.[8][9] The organization sees itself as part of a supportive region in which long-term support, respect and inclusion are central.[4][8]
Overall, Caritas Schwarzwald-Baar stands for reliable social assistance on site, professionally qualified support and a commitment that strengthens people, enables participation and sustainably promotes coexistence in the region.[8][9]
