Centre Hospitalier Neuro-Psychiatrique (CHNP)

The Centre Hospitalier Neuro-Psychiatrique (CHNP) is a leading psychiatric clinic dedicated to providing excellent care for people with mental illnesses. Our mission is to find a place in society for every person entrusted to us that balances the highest degree of autonomy and freedom with individual needs and abilities.

We offer a wide range of specialized services, including:

• Treatment of depression and anxiety disorders: Psychotherapy (inpatient and outpatient), art therapy, sports, mindfulness training and relaxation techniques.
• Treatment of psychotic disorders: Comprehensive therapy offers for optimal reintegration into society, including psychotherapy, promotion of everyday, living and working skills, as well as physical and mental well-being.
• Specialized care for older people: Inpatient treatment of mental illnesses in old age, taking into account age-related limitations and with offers such as physiotherapy, sports therapy, art therapy and cognitive training.
• Addictology: Outpatient and inpatient help for all types of addictions, abuse and misuse, including specialized outpatient services at the Centre ÄDDI∙C for alcohol and/or drug addiction, as well as longer-term inpatient treatments at the Centre Thérapeutique Useldange (alcohol) and Manternach (illegal drugs).
• Child and adolescent psychiatry: Outpatient diagnostics and therapy in our polyclinic for minors, as well as inpatient treatment for adolescents with mental illnesses or severe behavioral problems.
• Socio-forensic psychiatry: Treatment of people who have committed a crime and suffered from a mental disorder at the time of the crime that negated their judgment or control over their actions.
• Care in prisons: Psychiatric care for prisoners in the Centre Pénitentiaire de Luxembourg (CPL) and comprehensive care for drug addicts in the CPL and in the Centre Pénitentiaire de Givenich (CPG) through the Dienst Suchthëllef.
• Outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy: Counseling, diagnostics and therapy planning in our polyclinic, as well as participation in outpatient groups and care by our psychiatric home care service (SPAD).
