Der Paritätische Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a state association of the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband, one of the six leading associations of independent welfare in Germany. As an umbrella organization, it unites over 200 non-profit organizations and self-help groups in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern under its umbrella. This diversity of member organizations covers almost all areas of social work.

Der Paritätische MV sees itself as an advocate for socially disadvantaged people and is committed to an open, diverse and inclusive society. It promotes the self-determination and participation of all people, regardless of origin, age, gender, religion or ideology.

Core services and offers:

• Representation of interests: Der Paritätische MV represents the interests of its member organizations to politics, administration and the public. It is committed to fair framework conditions and needs-based financing of social work.
• Advice and support: The association offers its members comprehensive advice and support in all matters of social work, from securing livelihoods to elderly care and child and youth welfare.
• Further education and training: Der Paritätische MV organizes training courses and conferences on current topics in social policy and social work in order to strengthen the skills of its members.
• Voluntary services: The association is the sponsor of voluntary services such as the Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) and the Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ) and offers interested parties the opportunity to get involved in the social sector.
• PariServe: Via PariServe, the association offers its members exclusive advantages and discounts, for example when shopping or with payroll accounting.
• Specialist information: Der Paritätische MV provides its members and the public with current specialist information, work aids and brochures on various topics in social work.

Sustainability:

Der Paritätische MV is increasingly committed to climate protection and adaptation to the consequences of climate change. It supports its member organizations in developing and implementing sustainable concepts. This includes, for example, workshops on climate adaptation in social facilities and raising awareness of climate-related issues. The association is also committed to a socio-ecological policy that promotes both social security and ecological progress.
