The DRK-Rettungsdienst Eifel-Mosel-Hunsrück (EMH) is a non-profit organization that ensures comprehensive, qualified emergency care in the Eifel, Mosel and Hunsrück region. With a total of 11 strategically located rescue stations, 30 ambulances and patient transport vehicles, and 5 emergency physician locations, the company guarantees fast and reliable assistance around the clock. The workforce comprises around 245 dedicated employees, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, as well as trainees and volunteers, who together ensure professional emergency rescue and patient transport.
In addition to the ground-based rescue service, the central services also include cooperation in the field of air rescue: The "Christoph 10" rescue helicopter in Wittlich is operated jointly with ADAC Luftrettung and the Wittlich Hospital to be quickly on site in critical cases. The training as a paramedic plays an important role in order to ensure the high quality standards and the continuity of the emergency services.
