Diakonie – Jugendhilfe Oberbayern

The Diakonie München und Oberbayern is a large, versatile and future-oriented youth welfare organization in Bavaria. With over 750 qualified employees, it offers a wide range of child and youth welfare services in Munich and Upper Bavaria.

The focus of the work is on accompanying and supporting children, adolescents and young adults to become independent and community-minded personalities. Regardless of origin, disadvantage or impairment, the Diakonie is oriented towards the individual needs of young people in order to enable them to grow up successfully.

The range of services includes:

• Open child and youth work: International youth centers and open meeting places.
• School-related offers: School social work, youth social work, all-day care, lunchtime care and inclusive offers at schools.
• Offers for families: Early help, family support, crisis support and support for families with mentally ill parents.
• Semi-residential offers: Curative day care centers for preschool and elementary school children.
• Residential offers: Curative education living, intensive pedagogical living, inclusive and trauma therapeutic living, assisted living and independence groups as well as protection and accommodation.
• Guardianships: Legal representation for minors.
