The Diakoniestation Leichlingen und Witzhelden gGmbH is an outpatient nursing service with years of experience in the comprehensive care of senior citizens. The company offers a wide range of services to enable people in need of care to live a dignified life in their familiar surroundings. These include classic care, domestic help, special care for dementia, palliative care, a 24-hour emergency call service and "Meals on Wheels".
The aim of the Diakoniestation is to accept and support people holistically in their physical, mental and emotional needs. Emphasis is placed on tolerance and equal treatment of all sections of the population, regardless of social, political, ethnic or religious affiliation. The Diakoniestation advises, cares for, heals, comforts, strengthens and supports its clients and their relatives in order to enable them to live as self-determined a life as possible.
Particular attention is paid to activating care, which individually supports existing skills and abilities. In order to guarantee a high degree of trust and satisfaction, the Diakoniestation relies on reference care, in which a permanent caregiver is responsible for the care.
As the only nursing service in the Leichlingen area, the Diakoniestation also takes on the demanding task of palliative care. Specially trained staff work closely with palliative care physicians to enable a pain-free and dignified death. The Diakoniestation is part of a Palliative Care Team and creates individual treatment plans to alleviate symptoms and avoid hospital admissions.
The Diakoniestation Leichlingen und Witzhelden gGmbH was formed from the merger of the two Protestant parishes of Leichlingen and Witzhelden and is oriented towards Christian values. The dignity of the individual is of utmost importance to the company.
The Diakoniestation attaches great importance to the qualification of its employees. The team consists of qualified geriatric nurses, nurses, health and nurses, nursing specialists, geriatric and nursing assistants, trained medical assistants as well as experienced caregivers and trainees.
