The Evangelisch-Lutherisches Dekanat Bamberg is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and encompasses a significant part of the Bamberg district as well as smaller areas in the Erlangen-Höchstadt and Haßberge districts. It is one of 15 deaneries in the Bayreuth church district and is currently led by Dean Sabine Hirschmann[1].
The mission of the deanery is to strengthen the communities and create an environment of openness, trust, and safety. Values such as charity, inclusion, and responsibility are at the forefront.
