The DRK Kreisverband Harburg-Land e.V. is a versatile aid organization that provides a wide range of services and offers in the Landkreis Harburg. The DRK Kreisverband Harburg-Land e.V. sees itself as part of the national and international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. The work is based on the seven principles of the Red Cross: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.
An important part of the work is Volunteering. Over 500 people are already involved in the various areas of the DRK Kreisverband Harburg-Land e.V. and contribute to fulfilling the diverse tasks. Dedicated helpers are active in the local associations, in the Jugendrotkreuz (Youth Red Cross), in the medical service, as trainers for first aid and in the news service for the visually impaired.
