The DRK-Kreisverband Neumünster e.V. is a dedicated part of the German Red Cross, which offers a variety of social, health and disaster relief services in Neumünster and the surrounding area. With around 50 active volunteers in the readiness and numerous full-time employees, it is committed to protecting vulnerable groups, from first aid courses to integration assistance.[1][6][9]
The offer includes a wide range:
The main mission of the association is: to put people in need at the center. In the spirit of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, it promotes solidarity, humanity and neutrality. Volunteering is at the heart - from active readiness to volunteer promotion - to support neighbors in need. Values such as resilience promotion and inclusion characterize all activities, financed by the city, state and DRK.[7][10][4]
As part of the DRK, the district association pursues sustainable goals such as resource-oriented integration and environmentally conscious reuse, for example through second-hand shops that reduce textile waste. Initiatives to promote voluntary engagement strengthen social cohesion and long-term community. Concrete environmental goals such as circular economy in clothing stores underline the contribution to a sustainable region, supplemented by DRK-wide standards for climate protection and inclusion.[5][7]
The DRK-Kreisverband Neumünster combines tradition with modernity: whether in crisis or in everyday life - here is helped, integrated and strengthened. A strong network for a solidary society.[1][2]
