The Erftverband is a public corporation that focuses on the sustainable management of water resources in the Erft area. Founded in 1859, the association has evolved over time into an important player in the region to meet the challenges of lignite mining and environmental changes.
The main mission of the Erftverband is to sustainably manage water resources while promoting environmental protection. Values such as Sustainability, Environmental Awareness and Cooperation with members from municipalities, industry and agriculture are paramount.
