The Kyiv Dialogue, also known as Kyjiwer Gespräche, is an international project that has been focusing on social and political issues since 2005. Over the years, the project has developed into an important platform for exchange and collaboration between Germany and Ukraine.
Our main mission is to strengthen local democratic structures in Ukraine and support the social integration of internally displaced persons as well as the reconstruction of the country. We are committed to promoting decentralization and local resilience to foster a stable and participatory democracy. Our values are based on the involvement of local actors in overarching socio-political processes, supporting local initiatives with resources and expertise, and aligning with international and national best practices.
Since 2022, there has been a particular focus on the social integration of internally displaced persons and the reconstruction of Ukraine. We support local initiatives by providing resources and expertise to promote the resilience and self-governance of local communities. Through our work, we contribute to making Ukraine more stable and democratic in the long term.
Our recent efforts focus on supporting Ukrainian regions in times of crises and conflicts. Through our close partnerships and networks, we can develop and implement effective solutions to the challenges faced by local communities.
