The Ev.-luth. Kirchenkreis Hannover is the largest church district within the Evangelical Lutheran State Church of Hanover. It encompasses a diverse spectrum of church communities, institutions, and services in Hannover, Garbsen, and Seelze.

The administrative office of the church district, the Kirchenamt, advises and supports the communities, institutions, committees, as well as the full-time and volunteer staff in their diverse tasks. The Kirchenamt sees itself as a service provider and partner of the communities and institutions.
