The Ev. Kirchenkreis Gütersloh is a public corporation that includes 17 Protestant parishes from the south of Bielefeld across the Kreis Gütersloh to the southeastern part of the Kreis Warendorf.[2][5] Represented by Superintendent Frank Schneider, he works closely with the church districts of Bielefeld, Halle and Paderborn to support parishes in their tasks, promote cooperation and distribute resources such as finances and personnel fairly.[2][5]
The competence center Ehrenamt is open to anyone who is involved in volunteering or cooperates with volunteers - from seminars to online registrations to the service center of the Evangelische Kirche von Westfalen.[6] The Evangelische Erwachsenenbildung (EEB) offers a wide range of programs: topics such as spirituality, religion, theology, bibliodrama, bibliotanz, culture, society and politics invite you to events that strengthen peace, cohesion and democracy.[3] Historical gems such as the in Gütersloh, a baptismal and wedding church from the 13th century and a landmark of the city, attract people from the region.[4] Other offers include concerts (e.g. dance music on the organ), workshops on neurodiversity such as autism, spring festivals and anniversaries.[6] For daycare centers (KITAs), there is specialist advice and a digital learning platform in cooperation with other church districts.[8]
The Mission of the church district aims to shake people up, call for peace and align life with love - inclusive and accessible to all.[3][6] Core values are Tolerance, Openness and Gender Equality, as youth projects on role models "Typically male - typically female" show.[9] High qualification of the employees, including female deacons and pastors, ensures continuity and professionalism.[7] Daily mottos, such as from Psalm 89 and the Acts of the Apostles, inspire an open-minded faith.[6]
A comprehensive Protection Concept protects children, young people, participants and employees through risk analyses, complaint management and regular checks - as an indispensable basis for all facilities.[2] Data Protection is the focus: With SSL/TLS encryption, a certified external data protection officer and clear regulations on consent, trust is created.[1] Sustainability goals include preventive structures that uncover vulnerable areas and establish a new basis of trust, complemented by joint services for long-term stability.[2]
The Kirchenkreis Gütersloh combines tradition with modernity: From historical churches to volunteer networks to innovative educational offers, it creates places of encounter, reflection and solidarity. With apps for current information and an event calendar, it stays close to people's lives.[6] (approx. 2480 characters)
