The Fachagentur Wind und Solar is a registered, non-profit association that was founded in 2013 at the initiative of the federal government. The association brings together a wide range of members, including the federal government, the states, municipal umbrella organizations, economic and environmental protection associations, as well as companies. This unique membership structure enables the Fachagentur to act as a link between different stakeholder groups at various levels of action.
The Fachagentur Wind und Solar focuses on promoting the environmentally friendly expansion of onshore wind energy and, since 2023, also photovoltaic ground-mounted systems. The main activities include:
