FAK - Freie Alten- und Krankenpflege e.V. is a non-profit organization with almost 40 years of experience in outpatient elderly and nursing care in Essen. Since its founding in 1988, FAK has been committed to providing the best possible care for people in need.
The range of services includes a wide range of individual care services, including outpatient care, day care in the "Emscherglück" and "Op dem Berge" facilities, various forms of housing such as dementia shared apartments and shared apartments for women, as well as care and service. FAK also offers professional care advice.
FAK's mission is to improve the quality of life of elderly and care-dependent people through professional and individually adapted care services. The focus is on the person with their individual biography, their needs and wishes. FAK attaches great importance to maintaining the independence and everyday skills of its clients.
FAK's philosophy is based on holistic care and support that respects the dignity of the individual and incorporates the biography of the person in need of care into their personal care. The goal is to maintain and activate the quality of life for as long as possible.
Quality is a top priority at FAK. Regular quality inspections by the Medizinischer Dienst der Krankenversicherungen (MD) are consistently rated above average with "very good". TÜV-Rheinland awarded FAK as the first nursing service in Essen with the "Customer-oriented care quality" seal of approval. The team consists of qualified specialists who are always up to date thanks to regular training and further education.
FAK operates several locations in Essen, including the head office, a health and social center, as well as various day care facilities and shared apartments. These facilities offer a home in a family atmosphere, where residents are professionally cared for and looked after.
FAK is a growth-oriented company with around 180 employees. The association values a team-oriented working environment characterized by openness, trust and mutual acceptance.
