The Grundschule an der Lippeaue in Bad Lippspringe is a modern educational institution that cares for around 390 children from the school entry phase to the fourth grade. With a dedicated team of 23 female teachers, 3 male teachers and two student teachers as well as supporting specialists such as social workers, school social worker and caretakers, the school creates a familiar learning environment.[1][3][7]
Individual support is the focus: Social pedagogical specialists support children in the school entry phase specifically in language, phonological awareness, perception, concentration, motor skills and basic mathematical skills - always in close cooperation with the teachers and directly in the classroom context.[1] The enables children without German language skills to quickly enter the German language.[3] This is complemented by since 2018, (Open All-Day School) and care until 1 p.m., which relieve families and strengthen social skills.[1]
As an evangelische Bekenntnisschule (formerly Evangelische Grundschule), the Lippeaue-Schule conveys a Christian world, values and image of humanity, characterized by tolerance, charity and mutual respect. The Leitbild emphasizes:
The school strives for a peaceful, fear-free atmosphere in which everyone - children, parents and teachers - learn and work with joy. Everyone should feel safe, accepted and respected.[2] The Schulleitung under Frau Heike Hoffmann leads this process, supported by administration and team.[1]
The elementary school is strongly committed to inclusion and diversity: Since June 2023, it has held the title "Schule ohne Rassismus – Schule mit Courage", which stands for active action against discrimination.[3] Current projects such as excursions to Sandwelten (fairy tale sculptures made of special sand) or vacation reports promote creativity and community.[3] Although no explicit sustainability goals are detailed on the website, regional trends such as environmental projects in NRW schools (e.g. gardens, nature conservation) fit the profile of a responsible institution.[6]
