Die Gemeinnützige Wohnungsgenossenschaft Oberhausen eG (wgo) is a cooperative with a long tradition that has been offering its members needs-based and affordable living space in Oberhausen for over 125 years. As a strong community with around 3,000 members, wgo provides a wide range of living space - from single apartments to family-friendly apartments and barrier-free living.

wgo pursues a dual character: it is both an economic enterprise and a social community. Its statutory purpose is to provide its members with good, safe and socially responsible housing. Solidarity, social responsibility and democratic decision-making are paramount. The rental income generated is reinvested in the housing stock to finance modernizations, new buildings and the expansion of service offerings.
