Gesellschaft für Naturschutz und Ornithologie Rheinland-Pfalz e. V. (GNOR)

These projects aim to reconcile raw material extraction with conservation concerns and to protect and create amphibian habitats in quarries[2].
• Foundation proNATUR: In 2006, the GNOR established the Foundation proNATUR Rheinland-Pfalz, which is dedicated to the preservation and research of the diverse nature in the state. The foundation supports the publication of scientific works, the purchase and sustainable management of areas, as well as environmental education and nature research[4].
• Events and Excursions: The GNOR regularly organizes events, conferences, and excursions on faunistic and floristic topics to promote public awareness of nature conservation and to impart knowledge[4][5].
