Girls Gearing Up (GGU) is an international organization dedicated to empowering and training the next generation of global female leaders. Through the Girls Gearing Up International Leadership Academy and year-round programs, we prepare girls to act as confident and motivated leaders in an increasingly complex world.
Our primary mission is to create a world where women and girls experience full equality and equity. Despite progress in many areas, there is still no country where women and girls enjoy full equality. GGU aims to address these inequalities by creating a global movement of trained and inspired future female leaders.
Our values are based on the belief that the innovative mindset and essential perspectives that girls and women bring are crucial to solving many of today's most pressing local and global challenges, such as climate change and increasing polarization.
