The Gustav Stresemann Institut in Niedersachsen e.V. (GSI) is a private residential adult education center founded in 1975 and a non-public provider of extracurricular youth and adult education in Niedersachsen.[1][4] As a non-denominational, non-partisan institution recognized under the Niedersachsen Adult Education Act, it has been promoting political education, European awareness and social responsibility for almost 50 years.[1][2][4] With over 40 years of experience in pedagogical design, the GSI is LQW certified and funded by federal and state agencies.[4][6]
The GSI offers a wide range of seminars, training courses and conferences for young people, adults, professionals, soldiers and international groups.[1][2][5] The main focuses include:
The events are designed to be target group-oriented, interactive and application-oriented, with a focus on current social challenges.[2][6] As a conference center, the GSI is ideal for groups who want to learn and network in an inspiring atmosphere.[1][4]

The quote from the Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - "Stories can break or restore dignity" - underlines the focus on narrative strength and empowerment.[6]
Although explicit sustainability programs are not described in detail in the sources, the GSI integrates sustainable education into its core work: By promoting democracy, cultural exchange and a sense of responsibility, it contributes in the long term to a stable, inclusive society.[1][2][5] As a non-profit association, it relies on resource-saving pedagogical methods and certified quality (LQW) to make education effective and environmentally friendly.[4][6] Initiatives such as intercultural projects and political seminars support global goals such as education for sustainable development (UN Goal 4).[5]
The GSI remains true to its tradition: it inspires, educates and connects - for a committed Europe tomorrow.[2] With innovative seminars based on individual interests, it remains a central player in the political and cultural education landscape.[2][8]
