The GWA gemeinnützige GmbH Waldshut-Tiengen is an established, non-profit organization in the Waldshut district that has been supporting people on their path to education, work and social participation since 1996.[1][3] Originating from the cooperation between the Waldshut district and the Konstanz Chamber of Crafts, the organization combines expertise from business and social work to effectively implement labor market and socio-political goals locally.[3]
The focus is on career orientation, qualification, coaching and job placement.[1] GWA supports job seekers with practical offers such as the Marktplatz Arbeit, the JobZENTRALE and other measures for activation and application preparation.[5][6][10] In addition, the team supports professional change processes and offers support for young people, for example in the Jugendberufshilfe, school social work and in projects such as RESPEKT for young people between 15 and 25 years.[2][7] Integration work also plays an important role, for example with the MIKA project to support refugees in the Waldshut district.[8]
The Mission of GWA is clearly focused on social and professional integration: people should develop their potential, develop perspectives and gain suitable access to the labor market.[1][3] The organization works closely with regional actors and responds to the personnel needs of companies as well as the resources and support needs of job-seeking citizens.[1] With around 30 Mitarbeitenden, GWA combines professional competence, regional roots and individual support to create a broad range of support services.[3]
Sustainability at GWA is primarily understood as social sustainability: Through qualification, participation and placement in employment, the organization helps to strengthen people in the long term and make better use of regional potential.[1][3] Projects for young people, job seekers and immigrants promote equal opportunities, integration and stable prospects in the district.[2][7][8] In this way, GWA contributes to a resilient, socially responsible labor market in the region.[1][3]
