The Hamburger Klimaschutzstiftung provides space for Education for Sustainable Development in Hamburg with a special focus on climate protection. It operates Gut Karlshöhe as the location equipped for this purpose and directs its offers to all age groups, social groups and institutions. The statutory purpose of the Hamburger Klimaschutzstiftung is to promote environmental, nature and climate protection as well as art and culture, based on the guiding principle of sustainable development.
Sustainability Goals and Initiatives:
The foundation is actively committed to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Hamburg. Through projects such as the Hamburger Masterplan BNE 2030 and the Forum Bezirke, concrete measures to promote sustainable development in the city are initiated and supported. The foundation attaches importance to networking actors from various fields in order to use synergies and avoid duplication of work.
