Über Hanna gGmbH

Die Hanna gGmbH is a non-profit organization and a recognized provider of independent youth welfare in Berlin. Since its founding in 2002, Hanna gGmbH has been committed to the early childhood education and care of children. Currently, over 900 children are cared for in seven facilities.

The focus of the work is the child with their individual needs and developmental steps. The pedagogical guidelines are based on an appreciative and diverse cooperation, in which every child receives equal treatment. The daycare centers see themselves as places of community where children can act independently, feel safe and develop their personality.

Die Hanna gGmbH attaches great importance to the quality of care and the working conditions of the employees. The teams in the houses work independently and are supported by a multi-professional support team. Regular training courses, internal and external evaluations contribute to the continuous development of pedagogical work.

Particular attention is paid to the healthy nutrition of the children. Own kitchens in the facilities ensure daily fresh and balanced food according to the quality standards of the German Nutrition Society (DGE). Regional, seasonal and organic products are preferred and flavor enhancers and preservatives are avoided.

Sustainability is an important value in the "Hanna-Kosmos". The gGmbH is committed to climate protection, resource conservation and education for sustainable development (BNE). The aim is to enable children to think and act in an environmentally friendly, future-oriented and cosmopolitan way.

Die Hanna gGmbH is a social family business that wants to improve structures and contribute to society. The company is non-partisan, non-denominational and respects other views and ways of life. The history of the company is closely linked to the memory of Hanna Katharina Horst, whose name the gGmbH bears.
