Hattersheimer Wohnungsbau GmbH (Hawobau) is an established municipal housing company in Hattersheim am Main, which has been providing affordable and attractive rental housing since 1948.[1][2][4] Founded by the municipality of Hattersheim to provide housing for bombed-out people, evacuees, refugees and new registrations after the Second World War, Hawobau has developed into a modern player in the housing industry.[1][2][4] Today, the company manages around 1,700 apartments, 27 to 35 commercial properties and around 739 to 1,200 garages and parking spaces, which comprises a broad portfolio of residential and commercial space.[1][2][3]
