The Heerlein- und Zindler-Stiftung is a non-profit organization that has been committed to supporting elderly people and people in need of support since 1893. It was originally founded as the August Heerlein-Stift and expanded in 1979 through the merger with the Charlotte and Werner Zindler-Stiftung.

The proximity to the Außenalster also offers an attractive starting point for walks and relaxation. In 2020, a comprehensive modernization of the houses was completed to offer residents even better living conditions.
