The Heilpädagogische Einrichtung Hof Wallberg gGmbH is a non-profit youth welfare institution in the residential sector, which has been operating as a gGmbH since 2020 and offers around 42 places for children, adolescents and young adults.[1][2][4] Founded on anthroposophical principles according to Rudolf Steiner, the gGmbH took over the previously private children's and youth homes on March 1, 2020 and grants residential assistance in accordance with §§ 34, 35, 35a and 41 SGB VIII, including residential care, integration assistance for children with mental disabilities and support up to vocational training.[2][4][5]
Hof Wallberg comprises a network of several houses in Willenscharen, Brokstedt and Sarlhusen, which enable life-field-related, holistic care:
The interdisciplinary team of Heilpädagogen, Erziehern, Waldorfpädagogen, Familientherapeuten, Musik-, Trauma- und Reitpädagogen sowie Handwerkspädagogen accompanies residents individually from 0 years into young adulthood.[2][6]
The main mission is to create a new or second home that offers holistic support through sensory, creative and practical approaches – as LebensSchulung in the sense of aesthetic education.[4][6] A quote from Hermann Hesse shapes the philosophy: "We demand that life must have a meaning - but it only has exactly as much meaning as we ourselves are able to give it."[2] Core values are individual development, harmony between man and nature, and social pedagogical therapy in natural settings.[3][6]
Sustainability is integral: The farm follows biodynamic Demeter guidelines with sheep breeding, haymaking and species-appropriate horse keeping. Workshops promote creative self-efficacy in wood, metal, pottery and riding pedagogy. The institution is a member of associations such as VersA e.V., Forum Sozial e.V., Anthropoi e.V. and emphasizes ecological lifestyles.[3][4][5][6] As a recognized provider of FREE youth welfare, it prioritizes barrier-free, environmentally conscious pedagogy.[5][8]
Hof Wallberg thus creates resilience and autonomy in a harmonious, value-based environment that opens up stability and perspectives for children and adolescents.[1][9] (2487 characters incl. spaces)
