The Heilpädagogische Zentrum Krefeld – Kreis Viersen gGmbH (HPZ) is a leading center for the integration and rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses. Founded in 1967, the HPZ offers comprehensive services at nine locations in Krefeld and the Kreis Viersen to promote the participation of these people in social and professional life.
The main mission of the HPZ is to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to participate equally in social and professional life. The focus is on social integration, personality development and the creation of equal opportunities. The HPZ is committed to inclusion and promotes the self-determination and development of the personality of its clients.
The HPZ values an environmentally and socially responsible orientation of its activities. It strives to continuously improve its services and adapt them to the needs of society. By participating in social discussions and presenting the effects of its services, the HPZ contributes to the promotion of inclusion and participation.
The HPZ has a clear governance structure with a management and a supervisory board. It is registered with the Amtsgericht Krefeld and regularly publishes reports according to the Social Reporting Standard (SRS) to ensure transparency and accountability. The ownership structure includes the Stadt Krefeld, the Kreis Viersen, the Lebenshilfe e.V. as well as the Verein für Körper- und Mehrfachbehinderte e.V. Krefeld.
