The Hochschule für Musik Würzburg is a music academy steeped in tradition, offering high-quality education in a variety of musical disciplines. Around 250 internationally renowned lecturers prepare approximately 650 students annually for a successful career in the music world.
The range of courses includes a broad spectrum of degree programs, from Bachelor's and Master's programs to teaching degree programs, master classes and a PreCollege program for early talent development. The university thus covers all levels of education and enables individual musical development. The subjects offered include classical instruments, voice, jazz, church music, composition, music theory and elementary music pedagogy.
The Hochschule für Musik Würzburg places great emphasis on practical training. Numerous ensembles, including the university choir, symphony orchestra, big band and baroque orchestra, offer students a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their skills and gain valuable stage experience. Regular master classes with internationally sought-after artists complement the range of courses and promote artistic excellence.
Particular attention is paid to internationality. Through partnerships with renowned music academies worldwide, such as the Eastman School of Music and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, the university promotes the international exchange of students and teachers. The International Office supports students in organizing stays abroad and offers a variety of funding opportunities.

The university strives to offer its students a comprehensive education that optimally prepares them for the demands of the music profession.
