The CIC Rhein-Main, operated by Hör- und Sprachförderung Rhein-Main gGmbH, is a leading Cochlear Implant Center in the Rhein-Main region with locations in Friedberg-Hessen and Frankfurt-Main. As a non-profit organization, it is dedicated to the comprehensive care of people with severe hearing loss for whom a Cochlear Implant (CI) enables (re)habilitation.[1][4][5]
The center offers a wide range of pre- and post-operative services:
The highly qualified Team includes audiologists, therapists and administrative staff - from Heike Michels-Walter in audiology to specialists such as Annika Pfeifer in child therapy. This interdisciplinary collective ensures personalized programs.[2]
The core mission of CIC Rhein-Main is: Hearing with a CI must be (re)learned. Through specific CI follow-up therapy, hearing is made possible for those affected in all areas of life - from deaf children to adults with hearing loss.[4][5][8]
Values such as commitment, competence and inclusion characterize the center: It advises parents intensively, integrates siblings through events such as Siblings Day and shares knowledge via YouTube vlogs and the "Hör es!" initiative. In this way, it promotes not only medical but also social and emotional development.[6][8][9][10]
As a gGmbH, CIC Rhein-Main focuses on sustainable, lifelong support. Free follow-up care minimizes barriers and ensures long-term success, which embodies social sustainability. Initiatives such as vlogs and Siblings Day strengthen community ties and raise awareness of CI issues. In the network of CIICA organizations, it contributes to nationwide expertise.[1][7][9]
CIC Rhein-Main combines medical precision with a family atmosphere and makes hearing an enriching reality. With innovative approaches such as creative psychomotor skills, it positions itself as a pioneer in hearing support.[4][6]
